BRYght Ideas (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the MyCruiseCard mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the App.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Card content: Names, cabin numbers, taglines, and other text you enter when creating cruise cards. This data is stored locally on your device and is not sent to our servers.
- Photos: Profile photos and background images you select. These are stored locally on your device.
- QR code data: URLs, contact information, or other data you choose to encode in QR codes. This is stored locally on your device.
Information Collected Automatically
- AI generation prompts: When you use the AI wallpaper generation feature, your text prompts are sent to a third-party AI service (via OpenRouter) to generate images. We do not store these prompts on our servers.
- Image search queries: When you search for background images, your search terms are sent to Unsplash via our server to return results. We do not store search queries.
- Purchase information: When you make in-app purchases, an anonymous identifier is generated by RevenueCat to manage your purchases and entitlements. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personally identifiable information.
- Credit balance:Your AI credit balance is stored on our server (hosted by Convex) using an anonymous device identifier. This identifier is a randomly generated ID stored securely in your device's Keychain (iOS) or encrypted storage (Android). It contains no personal information and cannot be used to identify you. It persists across app reinstalls so your credits can be restored.
- Update checking: On launch, the app may check mycruisecard.com/update.json to determine if a newer version is available. This request does not include any personal data or device identifiers.
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect personal identification information.
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use analytics or advertising tracking SDKs. RevenueCat is used solely for purchase management.
- We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties for advertising purposes.
Data Storage
Card data, photos, and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. We do not maintain user accounts. Your AI credit balance is stored on our server using an anonymous device identifier (a randomly generated ID stored in your device's secure storage) so it can be restored if you reinstall the App. No personal information is associated with this balance.
Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- OpenRouter / AI providers:For AI wallpaper generation. Your prompts are processed by the AI model and are subject to the provider's privacy policy.
- Unsplash: For background image search. Search queries are sent to the Unsplash API. See Unsplash's Privacy Policy.
- Expo / EAS: For app distribution and over-the-air updates. See Expo's Privacy Policy.
- RevenueCat: For in-app purchase management and entitlement tracking. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous user identifier and processes purchase receipts. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Convex: For server-side storage of AI credit balances. Only an anonymous identifier and credit count are stored. See Convex's Privacy Policy.
In-App Purchases
The App offers in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We do not collect or store payment information. Purchase entitlements are managed through RevenueCat using anonymous identifiers.
Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
